A Profound Practice

Today I drove to a street at the edge of Pearl Harbor, where I could look out at the water, and I did a simple but profound practice that I’d like to invite you into.

Carve out some time to go to a place, and listen to it.

Invite your strongest, most grounded, most wise, most benevolent companions from waking life or other realms to join you.

Listen to the soul of the place itself. Feel the energy of its being. Ask if it has a story to tell, and listen. See if you can feel its desire. Let your curiosity guide you.

You might choose a place that is familiar to you: a place that you think you know the story of, or at least something about its history. But go and be in the physical presence of this place, and re-sensitize yourself to the many lifetimes you may not know about, that this place is now ready to share with you. Ask yourself how you might feel called to act in the world on behalf of this place and its story.

Through my practice today, I was reminded that we each can choose to act as our most powerful selves in any moment, and I felt called to share this invitation with you. I would love to hear how it goes for you if you feel like chatting. And if not, I’ll be imagining us all doing this relationship and power-building practice in our different places and timelines.
