My Personal Renaissance Begins
Dear dreamer,
I feel like I’m in the beginning of a personal renaissance—a renewal of my vows to my creative practice, to dance, to my body.
And as I’m moving through the beginning of this transformation, I hope to share my reflections with you in smaller but more frequent chunks.
So, today I’d of course like to announce my offerings for this month, and also share a poem I wrote during the most recent module of an advanced dream work program I’ve been taking. That module was a couple weeks ago, and for me, it set in motion a kind of creative energy that I had been longing to re-engage with for quite some time.
It feels good to be back.
Homecoming
I think we’re just at the beginning now
Both a familiar call
And a hint of the new
But It’s a long distance swim,
So pace yourself, and settle in
Play with your power
Learn your rhythm well
Let yourself linger in wide open shallows
Womb-like waters
That twinkle
In young hearts and old eyes
Exchanging gems with friends
You’ll know when the time is right
Don’t second–guess yourself
Light the fire,
Share your catch
Go back to the start,
Take another lap
around the spiral
And always begin the dance again.
